VIVATO SELECTED TO DEBUT INDOOR WI-FI SWITCH AT DEMO 2003
Vivato also chosen for the HotSeat at IDG's premiere technology
event
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Feb. 10, 2003 - Vivato, a
Wi-Fi infrastructure company, today announced that the company has
been chosen to launch its indoor Wi-Fi switch at the prestigious
DEMO 2003, to be held February 16-18, 2003, at the Westin Kierland
Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Vivato's new Wi-Fi switch is the first in its category and offers
multiple, concurrent Wi-Fi transmissions to standard Wi-Fi clients
- with a significantly extended range compared to traditional Wi-Fi.
Packaged in a flat panel, complete with deployment, management and
security tools, Vivato's indoor switch has been designed to offer
large enterprises and service providers a more cost-effective solution
to traditional Access Points (APs).
Executives from leading technology firms, venture capitalists,
top journalists from key publications and industry analysts will
be in attendance at DEMO 2003 to witness emerging technologies and
new products at the renowned conference.
"DEMO 2003 showcases the hottest new companies and products,"
said Ken Biba, CEO and chairman of Vivato. "Vivato is honored
to launch the industry's first Wi-Fi switch at this prestigious
event."
In addition to demonstrating its new product at DEMO 2003, Vivato
has also been chosen to participate in the coveted DEMO Hot Seat,
which allows presenters 60 seconds to pitch their company and product
to DEMO attendees.
Executive producer, Chris Shipley, chose Vivato along with a select
group of other innovative technology companies to debut at IDG's
executive forum. "Vivato's Wi-Fi switch will enable new types
of Wi-Fi deployment within the enterprise and service provider markets,"
said Chris Shipley, executive producer of DEMO 2003. "Our rigorous
selection process enables us to introduce cutting edge technologies
and services and we believe Vivato will be an important catalyst
in the continued momentum of Wi-Fi developments."
