Global Solutions Engineering [GSE] is a new company developing an emerging channel model for designing and implementing solutions focused on applications for mobility within the current evolution of wireless broad band technology. GSE develops ‘aggregated’ solutions by combining multiple standards-based software applications to create additional value-added capabilities that are enhanced by wireless technology. GSE services provides solutions that deliver increased functionality, mobility and allows the real-time sharing of information by designing wireless environments utilizing the appropriate technologies and vendors to deliver network solutions to municipalities, industries, businesses and citizens.
Established in Oregon during 2005, GSE has achieved significant growth in the area of wireless by utilizing ‘appropriate technologies’ to design robust network architectures. The network designs are implemented with
key partners focusing on customer support and satisfaction. GSE differentiates itself with an experienced staff, knowledge of the technology landscape and proven design and solution architectures giving customers advice
and choice in applications and vendors. The value proposition derived from working with GSE is through the
portfolio of solutions which can be deployed to solve real- time problems, deliver near-term ROI, as well as increase productivity and efficiency.
GSE’s market strategy focuses on smaller ‘Tier 3 – to –Tier N’ municipalities and communities, private sector businesses, extended area wireless for deployments such as seaports, airports, mines, rail yards and refineries. Other large scale projects include enhanced irrigation solutions for the agricultural industry.

Using standards based wireless broad band deployments, GSE positioned a wireless ‘cloud’ over one of the largest production farms in Eastern Oregon. This wireless infrastructure is using GSE’s aggregation principles by layering capabilities, such as, an automated irrigation system that conserves both water and power consumption, Voice over IP (VoIP) for communication, RFID / smart objects to measure moisture content, fertilizer and tracking of livestock, remote monitoring through video surveillance, and future controls of ethanol production. Each of these aggregated solutions has had a significant impact on the farms productivity, efficiency and conservation efforts – resulting in dramatic ROI to the farm’s business operations.
